Galway TD calls for more domestic violence refuge places

Galway Bay fm newsroom – A Galway East T.D is calling for more domestic violence refuge support for the west of Ireland.
Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Children and Youth Affairs, Deputy Anne Rabbitte says there are reports that 16 women and children are turned away from refuges every day.
She says the number of available refuge places in Ireland is far below what the EU recommends.
Deputy Rabbitte says domestic violence is not just a Dublin issue.
