1.5 million euro for NUI Galway researchers

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Three NUI Galway researchers have been awarded over 1.5 million euro in funding by Science Foundation Ireland.
The researchers have been selected as “the next leaders of research in Ireland, shaping the research community both here in Ireland and internationally”.
Dr Aideen Ryan has been awarded 518 thousand euro for her work on colon cancer.
Dr Laura Russo will receive 518 thousand euro for her research on tissue engineering for degenerative intervertebral disc disease.
Dr Dimitrios Zeugolis has been awarded over 490 thouand euro for his work on tissue engineering.
