Galway Bay fm newsroom – Long awaited resurfacing works will get underway in the coming weeks at Bride Street in Loughrea.
Irish Water is currently carrying out works along the street, which has been the subject of local concern due to potholes and an uneven surface.
Once Irish Water completes its works, contractors will begin the resurfacing project, and it’s hoped the job will be completed by early October.
Loughrea area councillor Michael Moegie Maher says it’s great news for the town, as the road is in very bad condition.
