Galway Bay fm newsroom – Emergency services are at the scene of a road traffic incident on the N18 at Kilcolgan.
The incident happened in the last half hour near the village. (before 1pm)
It’s not yet known if anyone has been injured.
Motorists travelling on the N18 are advised to expect long delays, as there are also roadworks ongoing near Kilcolgan village.
Contractors are undertaking road strengthening and accomodation works on behalf of Galway County Council on the road between Kilcolgan and Caherpeak.
In order to facilitate the works, temporary traffic management will be in operation along the stretch of road between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday – until Friday, September 2nd.
Northbound and southbound motorists are being advised to expect long delays during these times and to allow additional time to complete their journeys.
