Galway Bay fm newsroom – There is to be no change in paid parking rates across the county.
It follows a lengthy debate on the matter at County Hall today where four alternative options were considered.
One would involve the first hour free which would cost the local authority almost 45 thousand euro.
Another would involve offering the first two hours free at a cost of almost 90 thousand euro.
Loughrea area Fine Gael councillor Michael Moegie Maher is Chair of the Roads and Transport SPC.
He says option one involving the first free hour was proposed to be considered in future:
