The 20th annual Health Promotion Research Centre Summer Conference and an international occupational health conference are being held at NUI Galway.
It’s exploring the use of research evidence in developing and implementing inter-sectoral policy and innovative practice for health promotion.
Minister Marcella Corcoran Kennedy, Minister of State for Health Promotion at the Department of Health delivered the opening address this morning.
Meanwhile, over 1000 delegates from 50 countries will arrive at the university this evening for a major conference on occupational therapy.
The conference is a joint event being hosted by the Council of Occupational Therapists for Europe and the European Network of Occupational Therapy in Higher Education.
The five-day conference gets underway at NUI Galway at 5 this evening.
