Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway City Council is being urged to reach out to the local business community to ensure that public services are maintained.
The proposal was put forward at this week’s meeting in City Hall by the Deputy City Mayor Fine Gael councillor Pearce Flannery.
Councillor Flannery says sponsorship and financial support from the business sector would allow for key maintenance and restoration projects.
The motion will be formally raised at the July meeting.
