Galway students generally happy with first State exam despite a few surprises

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Almost 6,400 Galway Leaving and Junior Certificate students have sat the first of their State exams.
Initial feedback indicates that students are generally happy with English Paper One, although there were some surprises on the Leaving Cert paper.
Speaking to NewsBreak English teacher at Moneengeisha Community College Jean Beswick agrees the Higher Level paper was not a predictable one and had an unusual visual question.
The exam schedule continues until June the 24th for some, depending on subject choice.
3301 students across Galway have started their Junior Cert exams today, while 2988 are sitting the Leaving Certificate.
A futher 82 students have begun the Leaving Cert Applied exam schedule.
