The inaugural conference is being organised by NUI Galway to discuss the nature of living with dementia today and to create opportunities for shared learning.
Organisers say it’s an opportunity for communities in Galway and the west to interact with experts in the field of dementia.
The conference will run from 10a.m to 4p.m next Monday, May 30th at the Institute for Lifecourse and Society at NUIG.
Speaking on this programme, conference organiser Carmel Geoghegan says more open discussion on dementia is urgently needed.
