Galway Bay fm newsroom – A teenager has been transferred to Beaumont hospital in Dublin following a road traffic incident in Turloughmore.
It’s understood that a girl was attempting to cross the road on the N63 close to the village yesterday when she was knocked down by a vehicle around 9.30pm.
The girl, who is 15 years of age and from the Ballyglass area, was rushed to University Hospital Galway but has since been transfered to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
Gardai are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Oranmore Gardai at 091-388030.
A special mass will take place at Lackagh Church this evening at 8 to prayer for the teenager and her family.
