Galway Bay fm newsroom – The programme for this year’s Galway International Arts Festival will be launched in Dublin this evening.
The annual Festival has been connecting audiences and artists for over 38 years, putting on its first performances in 1978.
Last year’s event drew almost quarter of a million people who enjoyed hundreds of performances, talks and exhibitions over 14 days.
The launch of the 2016 programme will take place at The Clarence Hotel in Dublin this evening at 6.
Meanwhile, the programme will also be launched at Hotel Meyrick in the city tomorrow at 6pm.
Artistic Director Paul Fahy says 2016 is set to be an incredibly strong year for festival theatre.

Spanish Artist Francisco de Pájaro will exhibit his Street art, “Art is Trash”. Francisco de Pájar’ scultpures and installation can be found at various locations throughout Galway City. Check online and social media and locations.
