Galway Bay fm newsroom – A woman has been knocked down in the city centre
The traffic incident took place at the junction of Eglinton Street, Mary Street and Woodquay in the last half hour
The road is blocked in both directions and Gardai are asking motorists to avoid the area for the next while
Emergency services are at the scene
It’s understood the woman was struck by a car as she crossed the road
The extent of her injuries are not known at this stage
