Galway Bay fm newsroom – The new IFA President, Athenry’s Joe Healy, says tackling the farm income crisis is his number one priority.
In his inaugural address to the 61st AGM of the association in Dublin this afternoon, Joe Healy said the IFA has an important role in the lives of Irish farmers.
He says farm incomes will be at the top of his agenda when he meets with the Minister for Agriculture.
The dairy farmer says a dedicated minister with sole responsibility for Agriculture and Food should be appointed when a new government is formed.
