Galway Bay fm newsroom – A new residential development at Coast Road, close to Roscam, has been given the go ahead.
Bayhill Park Limited has secured planning permission for 14 detached houses, with large rear gardens, at the junction of Doughiska Road and Coast Road.
The City Council has imposed 27 planning conditions on the development on a 6.8 acre site at Coast Road, Roscam.
Before construction begins on the homes, 151 thousand euro must be lodged with the city council towards the cost of services to facilitate the development.
Also a cash deposit of 56 thousand euro and a bond of 35 thousand euro must be submitted to the local authority to ensure the completion and maintenance of roads, footpaths and sewers.
The developer of the 4 and 5 bedroom houses at Coast Road must also enter an agreement with the council for the provision of social and affordable housing.
