Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway Hospice has officially opened 6 additional beds at its facility in Renmore.
The extra beds brings its total inpatient capacity to 18.
The extension was officially opened by Mayors of Galway and County Galway, Frank Fahy and Peter Roche.
There has been a 35 per cent increase in Home Care Clinical Nurse Specialists and additional day-care services will be rolled out shortly.
Chief Executive of Galway Hospice, Mary Nash says they are also working on plans to progress a new Hospice site at Merlin Park.
