Galway Bay fm newsroom – A major climate congress will take place in the city tomorrow.
The event is being hosted by NUI Galway’s Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security society.
It comes as newly-elected deputies meet this week in Dublin to discuss climate change as part of negotiations to form a new government.
The free event gets underway at Aras na Mac Léinn at NUI Galway at 11.30 tomorrow morning, and pre-registration is required.
Organiser Brendan Hallahan says the event will have a particular focus on the impact of climate change on Ireland.
